Welcome
My name is Dara McKeon. I am an 18 year old male student from Dunboyne, Co Meath in Ireland. I am very keen to obtain a basketball scholarship in the USA. I have been playing basketball since I was 8 years old. I currently play on the Irish under 18 basketball team.
At the age of 13 I was selected on a Dublin panel playing in the Liege Tournament in Belgium. We came 4th out of 14 teams. At 15 I was selected for the Irish team. I represented my country in the FIBA European Championships in Bulgaria. I had good games against England, Czech Republic and Austria. In the Czech game I scored 16 pts and obtained 9 rebounds. In this competition I averaged the highest percentage from the 3 point line scoring 9 out 19 three pointers, which is just under 50%. In summer 2007, I represented Ireland at under 18 level in the FIBA European Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria. My statistics are available on the website.
At club level, my team has several league and cup titles, I have also won ‘MVP’ awards with my club. I am now playing Division 1 Men’s basketball.
I am 6’3” in height and weigh 210lbs. I play shooting guard, small forward and point guard.
